This method is based on chemical contaminant degradation to the less toxic or naturally occurring substances by the injected oxidant reagent. Among frequently used oxidants in the EPS, s.r.o. company belong the modified Fenton's reagent, permanganate, or persulfate. This way, either the less biodegradable forms of oil hydrocarbons or the less accessible pollutants are remediated. The method is often combined with other remedial techniques - pump and treat, venting, washing.
